However to become successful in this field requires more than this qualifications it requires a set of soft skills as described below.

Respect is described as acknowledging another's value and knowledge as well as contribution. The tech should appreciate the difficulties that users have with using a certain system and should take the time to show them how to overcome those difficulties without expecting gratitude.

This can only be achieved if the user is satisfied with the solution offered and especially if it becomes permanent and does conform to the organization's policy. They should be both capable and willing all the steps described in the organization's manual when resolving a crisis.

The team should also pay attention to details, which is a very essential skill for successful completion of any work order. Though resolving a users issue quickly is necessary, it is not sufficient if the problem keeps on recurring. It is prudent that the team member takes time to find the source the problem as well solving it to ensure that the network is safe and secure at all times.

A professional tech team should demonstrate their ability to communicate with colleagues and their superiors about the system. They are expected to be a bridge between the system and the end user and as such should know how to convey requirements to the end user from the system and vice versa. This ensures that the system is working at optimum levels for the good of the firm hence adding credence to the department and faith in the functionality of the system.

It is also prudent that they understand that they do not have answers to every problem and should know where to go for such help.
