Resident Evil 5 Where The Monsters Still Roam

There is more out there that goes bump in the night than what's under your bed or in your closet. Nowhere else is that more clear than in Resident Evil 5, the latest version of the favored horror survival game franchise, Resident Evil. You can often gauge a games rise in the ranks when it jumps from one medium to the other. They made a movie or two (or three) about this one did they not with big stars? Despite the flick kudos, game players still like to stay with what they know and create their own destiny with the video game series. Resident Evil 5 has been released for the Xbox 360 but also has a later date of release in 2009 for the Playstation 3.

Here's a little back story for people that do not know. As you can guess something sinister has happened to get this entire ball of wax off and rolling. In the original Resident Evil, the story occurs in Raccoon City concerning the unethical experiments of a company called the Umbrella Corporation. The company created a biological called the T-virus. As with all hideous horrific tales, the experiments go wrong and infect each living species in and around Raccoon City.

The first team sent in to investigate blood-thirsty undead and mutated animals is known at STARS, Special Tactics and Rescue Service, Congratulations team. As you can imagine, they get felled by undead so the Alpha team is sent to rescue them. And, the tale continues through one or two Resident Evil games till you get to the latest release. Each game builds on the original story and most took place within days of the other versions. Starting with Resident Evil 4, the location for doing battle isn't Raccoon Town. In Resident Evil 5 characters are whipped away to Africa to once again clean up after the Umbrella Firm.

The Xbox 360 has the hi-def feature for boosted 3D graphics and fact of play. Gameplayers have managed to play as a few characters in the past. Once the final supervisor battle was played another player was unlocked and play began again as another character. This game features over-the-shoulder play as Chris Redfield with the help of his teammate Sheva Alomar. New to the Resident Evil 5 game is the power to control either or both players which was never the case before. Success in the mission depends upon both players working together. Also , the game can be played in a multiplayer role on and offline for more excitement. When playing online with another, the screen splits to see the game from the perspective of both.

Fans of the first Resident Evil will go head-over-heels for this one with the new features offered by the Xbox 360 and continuing story in accordance with the rest of the Nintendo game franchise. The game is rated M for mature due to heaps of blood and gore and intense violence.
