Gearbox Software and Sega Europe have declared a brand new competitive multiplayer mode for the latest long awaited video game Aliens: Colonial Marines, on its way later on this season on the Xbox 360, Wii U and PlayStation 3 consoles as well as the the PC. Together with the team death match game mode introduced a little while back, it is good to see you will have more than one way to try out competitive multi player once the video game comes out around the Twelfth of Feb.

The new multi player mode for Aliens: Colonial Marines is called "Escape mode" and it's set to challenge you (the player) mainly because it pits you against the universes most hazardous killers. For anyone who is gaming as the famous "marines", you can find yourself in a 4 man crew along with 3 other players against another four "alien" squad managed by your opposing competitors. Your goal as the marines would be to aim, burn and eliminate your way over the map and continue to evade the swarms of re-spawning Xenomorphs that are out for your life. You need to come together as a team to flee within the limited time frame of the map, by means of pinpointing the flaws in your opponents tactics and taking advantage of your own specialized skills to overpower all of them.

Aliens: Colonial Marines will be an important expansion to the Aliens franchise, carrying on where the last movie ended. If you're an Aliens supporter, this will definitely not turn out to be the video game you want to overlook. Gearbox will be putting on an excellent show, with some very life-like graphics, terrifying sound effects as well as a truly authentic type story which increases upon the actual Aliens franchise.

Since they (Gearbox Software) may have stumbled by obtaining Duke Nukem Forever, they certainly demonstrated their weight with Half Life, Brothers in Arms as well as the latest Borderlands franchise. There are several premium quality designers seated in their Texas office buildings, so lets hope that Aliens: Colonial Marines will shape up to be deemed a seriously fearsome "motion sensor bleeping" hell.

It'll be interesting to find out which game will get cooperative horror perfect, Dead Space 3 being released on the 8th of February, or perhaps Aliens: Colonial Marines around the twelfth? In any case, for those of us who've been holding out to scream like a young woman into our buddies ear phones, the next month is our time for you to finally limber up our shouting muscles and dig in for a terrifying adventure.
